Author experienced a case of huge antrochoanal polyp originating from right maxillary antrum in 23-year old male army patient.
The prominant symptoms were nasal obstruction, headache and purulent rhinorrhea. X-ray mucosal function test (XMFT) with lipiodol showed that the right antral cavity was filled anteriorly by polypoid mass, and no destructive change at the antral walls.
Choanal polyp and antral mucosa were removed by means of Denker¢¥s operation under the local anesthesia.
Histopathological diagnosis was nasal polyp with mucoid degeneration.
